Series 2 Flip Lids and Bottles

How best to use my Series 2 Flip Lid?

Ensure your flip lid is fully assembled with the straw securely attached, fill your bottle with a liquid of your choice (not hot or carbonated) and flip up the nozzle, now your bottle is ready to drink from! Please note these lids are designed to be drunk from like you would with a straw.

Do not tilt the bottle above your mouth while drinking as liquid will escape through the air hole on the other side of the nozzle.

Please note, whilst the Flip Lid is great at preventing major spills, it's not 100% leak-proof. With this in mind, we would advise you to transport your bottle in an upright position using the handy loop, or in the side pocket of a rucksack for example.

* Before using your Flip Lid and Straw for the very first time, make sure to wash it with hot soapy water, and then once the lid and straw are dry, please follow the assembly / disassembly instructions below and you’re good to go!

STRAW AND BOTTLE ASSEMBLY

1. Extend the straw and insert it into the holder at the bottom of the lid.

2. Ensure the collar is removed from your Series 2 Bottle.

3. Place the fabric loop around the neck of the bottle.

4. Screw on the lid and open the spout to take your first sip!

For a thorough clean or replacing a part:

DISASSEMBLY

For thorough cleaning, you may want to fully disassemble your Flip Lid. Full disassembly is not required for every clean.

1. Remove the extendable straw by gently pulling it out of the holder.
2. Pull back the spout until you hear a click and remove it from the collar. This may take a bit of force. The spring hinges on the side of the spout may come loose during this action so be careful when doing so!
3. Turn the collar upside down and with your finger and push out the inner seal until it detaches.

ASSEMBLY

1. Align the inner seal with the air holes on the collar.
2. Pinching down the spring hinges with your thumb and forefinger, simultaneously push the spout into place, until you hear a click. Ensure the thumb ridge is facing upwards.
3. Gently insert the straw into the holder at the bottom of the collar.

Staining

Please be aware that while our Flip Lids are resistant to normal wear and tear, prolonged exposure to certain ingredients, such as strongly coloured food, beverages, or cosmetics may result in staining over time.

Don't worry though, you should be able to reduce the look of, or in some cases even remove any staining, by giving your lid a thorough clean with a mix of bicarbonate of soda, water and your usual washing up liquid. Mixing these together to create a paste and leaving on any marks for around 60 minutes (or slightly longer if possible) should help to lift some stains or marks and also help to remove any smell or taste.

Is the Series 2 Flip dishwasher safe?

No, the Chilly's Series 2 Flip is not suitable for dishwashers.

We recommend cleaning your bottle after each use with hot soapy water, please do not leave the bottle and associated parts to soak. For a very thorough clean, please use bicarbonate soda(UK)/baking powder(US) with water.

Please ensure to rinse your Series 2 Flip Bottle and Lid before first use.

Is the Series 2 Flip Lid compatible with all Series 2 Bottle sizes?

Yes, it is compatible across all sizes, making it easier than ever to customize your bottle.

Mix and match to your heart’s content.

Please note, to make the switch compatible using the Flip Lid on the Series 2 Bottle, you will also need to remove the bottle collar!

Is the Series 2 Flip Lid leak-proof?

No - Whilst the Series 2 Flip Lid has been designed to be spill-proof but it is not completely leak-proof so we recommend transporting it in an upright position or in the side pocket of a rucksack.

However, you do have the option make your Flip Bottle leak-proof by making the switch from the Flip Lid to the Series 2 Bottle Loop/Lid and Collar.

Can the Series 2 Flip Lids be used with carbonated and hot drinks?

No, our Series 2 Flip Lids are not suitable for hot or carbonated drinks.

Nonetheless, the Flip Bottle body can be used with hot and carbonated drinks, we recommend switching the Flip Lid with the Series 2 Loop/Lid and Collar for optimal use.

What should I do if I lose the spring hinges from my Flip Lid?

Can I engrave my Series 2 Flip Bottle?

Yes! You can now personalise your Series 2 Flip Bottle with an engraving of up to 8 characters.

Please note as our Series 2 Flip Bottles have the large 'Chilly's' written logo on both sides, the placement of the engraving will be on the back of the bottle, centred between the two logos.

You can have a maximum of 8 characters, either upper or lower case from the Latin alphabet. A space also counts as a character.

Common symbols that appear on your keyboard (e.g. # and ?) can be engraved, but more complex symbols (e.g. hearts, stars, and emojis) can't be used. If you try to submit one of these more complex symbols, it will be engraved as a question mark. If you have any doubts about your engraving, please email [e-mail]

The bottles are engraved by our master engraver in England and will be a maximum of 34.2mm wide and 4.7mm high.

Please be aware that engraving will add one working day to your estimated delivery date.

If you have your bottle personalised, it is not valid for a refund for any reason except manufacturing defects.

Are the Series 2 Lids and Collars compatible with my Flip Bottle?

Yes! - If you'd like to have the option of using your Flip Bottle as a leak-proof, you can purchase a Series 2 Loop/Lid and Collar here.

All you'll need to do is unscrew your Flip Lid accessory, and screw the new Collar and Lid onto your bottle body. The Series 2 Collars and Lids are compatible with all sizes of Series 2 and Series 2 Flip Bottles.

Please note, you will need both the lid and collar in order to make the switch to a leak-proof bottle.

Is the Series 2 Flip Food Safe?

Yes, the Chilly's Series 2 Flip has been put through rigorous safety testing to ensure it is food safe.
